The weather is not the only thing hot in Williamson County right now. We’ve seen such explosive growth in both the real estate and commercial industries, we’re living in a hot bed of growth, and I am so excited that my job is to help folks move here and see why I love calling Williamson County my home!
Over the past eighteen months, we have seen the population surpass half-a-million residents, and the county is making the necessary changes to help all the new residents move across the county!
The city of Round Rock is making a huge change to their business residents. In case you missed the memo, Kalahari Resorts has chosen Round Rock as the location of its fourth family resort and convention center. This new resort is scheduled to open in 2020, and will offer over 1,000 guest rooms, a convention center, and an indoor/outdoor water park! Keep your eyes open for the construction to begin in the next nine to twelve months, across from the Dell Diamond! In addition to Kalahari, the Downtown area is currently undergoing some major changes; take a stroll down the New Main Street and experience the numerous restaurants, bars, and even a candy shop; not to mention an exciting and upbeat nightlife.
Georgetown is seeing much growth around the Wolf Ranch Shopping Center as the area preps for a new grocery store, over 2,000 new homes, and some road construction. In addition, the Georgetown Square is always a great place to hang out; be sure to visit on the First Friday of each month for shopping, wine and much more on the square.
Cedar Park’s growth has been expansive over the past couple years! In April, the city announced The Parke shopping center, located at East New Hope & 183A. This shopping center will fill the void in Cedar Park with shops and dining, such as: Nordstrom Rack, Chuys, 365 by Whole Foods, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and so much more!
Leander is seeing the most explosive growth of all the cities in Williamson County. In May, Leander saw a 74% increase in home sales. Thanks to the 183A Toll Road, Leander has attracted a new Toyota dealership so the residents looking to purchase a new vehicle do not have to drive very far!
As for housing developments within Williamson County, we all know that there are many options for our clients. Did you know that new home prices start under $200,000 in Hutto and go over $1,000,000 in Leander, Cedar Park, and Georgetown? There are currently over 100 new home communities available right her in WC! For a complete listing of neighborhoods, please visit http://wclife.org/new-housing-communities/.
For agents interested in the Williamson County luxury home market, the Events Committee has put together a Luxury Bus Tour with five homes across Williamson County. Register online at www.wcrealtors.org/login/my_account and reserve your seat on the bus! Tickets are limited to only 50 for this exclusive event! This will be a mini version of the yearly bus tour you’ve enjoyed!
