How you can help empower taxpayers in Texas. The Texas House of Representatives could consider an important bill for Texas taxpayers as soon as this week. The latest version of the House’s Committee Substitute for Senate Bill 2 (CSSB 2), known as The Property Taxpayer Empowerment Act of 2017, would provide all Texans more honesty and transparency at the local level when tax rates are set. This version of the bill also empowers voters to participate in the property tax process.
