REALTORS® Fight Hunger in Williamson County
Friday, July 20, 2018

Round Rock, Texas – July 20, 2018 – Members of the Williamson County Association of REALTORS® (WCREALTORS) have stepped up and answered a call to action and helped stock the local food pantries. This is the fifth year the Association has hosted this food drive which continues to help countless families across the County year over year.

In this county-wide food drive, which began July 9th, REALTORS® from across Williamson County hit the pavement and dropped off bags to be filled, contacted their friends, family, and clients, and spread the word in their offices to help fill their local food pantries.

Each of the food pantries across Williamson County (Round Rock Area Serving Center, Hutto Community Food Pantry, Hill Country Community Ministries, The Caring Place, Operation Liberty Hill and Shepherd’s Heart Food Pantry) benefitted both with physical as well as monetarily donations. The total amount raised equates to over 21,700 pounds of food, a 42% increase from last year’s total.

“I am so proud of our REALTOR® community, our clients and our neighbors that took just a few minutes out of their day and a few dollars out of their budget to contribute to our Williamson County Food Pantries. It is shocking to me how many hungry children and families there are here in our own backyards and how little it takes to help. This year we raised over 21,000 pounds of food, and it is continuing to roll in. It is a start, but sadly, the need continues. It’s never too late to contribute, every little bit helps. Contact any one of our Williamson County food pantries to donate food, time, and or money and help feed a child, possibly in your own neighborhood,” said Leisa Ormsbee, owner/REALTOR® of Realty Texas and chair of the WCREALTORS Community Service Committee. More information about each of the food pantries is available on the WCLIFE Website at

“I continue to be amazed at what our members accomplish,” said WCREALTORS President, Victoria Reviel. “REALTORS in Williamson County do more than just help you buy and sell homes. We live here too, and I am so proud to be part of this group of professionals working together to make Williamson County an even better place to live.”

Thank you to the members of WCREALTORS who collected the food, the residents of Williamson County for their donations, and most importantly, the staff and volunteers at the local food pantries. Each of you play an integral part in the community and help to make Williamson County the best place to live.
