According to government statistics, 1,200,000 couples get divorced each year and a whopping 61 percent of all divorcees end up having to list their home for sale.  This is an emotional and difficult time to need to sell a home.  Keep calm, stay professional and negotiate with both spouses so you can help them to get the home sold and each of them can go their separate ways and start anew.

Tiny is the new buzzword in any discussion about affordable housing. We all are happy that home values in Central Texas are on the rise, but along with that comes other issues; increased property taxes, lack of affordable re-sale homes and the cost of new home construction has also risen substantially in the last several months, making it more difficult for those first-time home buyers.

Are New Home Sales Disrupting the Williamson County Market?

Every month, the Association shares real estate market data compiled by the Texas Association of REALTORS® and the Texas A&M Real Estate Center. The data is compiled by TAR and consists of data from each MLS across the state of Texas, from there Texas A&M Real Estate Center scrubs the data to remove duplicates to publish accurate precise data, and finally the numbers are analyzed by local Association to be presented to the membership and media.

Hello 2018… We’re Ready for You

I am incredibly humbled and honored to serve the members of WCREALTORS as the President in 2018. I have been involved with the Williamson County Association of REALTORS® for almost 20 years, and I am ecstatic at the direction our Association is headed. Our 2017 Board of Directors, led by Suzanne Gantner did an exceptional job, and I am looking forward to building on these achievements.

In case you missed the Annual Installation & Awards Banquet on December 7th, it was a magical night; not only did we get real snow in Williamson County, we also had a great night celebrating with almost 300 real estate professionals as we recognized those who helped make 2017 a success.
