Sales Apprentice Education (SAE)
If you are renewing your license for the first time, you are required to have completed a total of 278 qualifying real estate hours of education as well as 8 hours of TREC Legal Update, by the end of your second year of licensure.
On the chart below, one can see that 180 of those classroom hours in core real estate courses must be completed within 1yr of the Salespersons application filing date.
These 90 additional QE classroom hours in core real estate for the SAE as well as the TREC Legal Update I & Legal Update II hours must be submitted and on the TREC system by the end of the second year of licensure.

Once licensed, the salesperson must then complete an additional 98 hours of qualifying education during the first two years of licensure, for the totals seen below: |

Note: Should all 278 hours be completed at the time the application is submitted, the licensee will have satisfied the SAE requirements ONLY for their first renewal; the additional Legal Hours will still be required before the first renewal date. Core credit will not be awarded for the same core courses taken within two years of each other.
